I love this place for all the goodies I can get, especially vehicles, but I can't bloody drive/fly the damn things without the server losing track of me while crossing a sim (suddenly drop from the sky, dig 200 metres below the surface and stay there, unable to teleport out, ick).
I thought at first it might have been an isolated incident, but it happens *all the time* ... unless I sit still or teleport everywhere, I find myself re-logging every 15 minutes or so. Some people like to buy land and build, some of us are nomads and like to be on the move. But being the latter is nothing short of excruciating. And I have access to two different DSL providers with access to strong backbones.
Was it always like this or is this some recent development? In either case, I've heard though the grapevine that a new server side physics engine may resolve that ... any truth to this? I really would like to continue playing SL, but not under the present conditions.
