Ok, so I have a digital 5.1 system. When I run the diagnostics, everything works perfectly and every speaker plays. For some reason, though, in everday work, the center speaker does NOTHING while all the other speakers work perfectly. It's a Creative Inspire 54.1 Digital 5700. Any ideas?

Darwin,
I can't remember what it is now, but there is a setting you must activate to get the centre speaker working. It's a mode that is used for playing films. You can probably find out about it on the creative web site.

Yep, on many setups, the center channel is only used while in surrond (ie movies) and requires it to be turned on for the other applications. I run Surrond 6.1 and used to suffer from the my front and back center channels never playing aynthing  Oh, and it used to always be midnight in my house too
