Have any of you been to Burning Man? If so, do you think that Second Life is a similar experience? Anyone interesed in hosting Burning Man in SL this time around?

I think someone has already built one in SL . . . I remember reading about it in one of the old World Notes by Hamlet Linden. You might want to check those out before you invest a lot of time and lindenbucks in your own project.

It was actually built by a Linden, I think it might be in Clementia. If I remember correctly, it was built by Pheonix Linden.

I built an homage to the man since I have found it a source of inspiration and creativity for years and years. The man also serves as a reminder for me to live the playa year round - IRL and SL.
Assuming burningman gets past their current problems over land use, I will be on the playa this year and unavailable during the event itself. If anyone would like to burn the man during the event itself, I'm open to helping out when I can.

Perhaps some at the RL event will be connected and participate in SL Burning Man?
