I am in HELL!

Comcast has decided to screw over my connection again. Worked fine this morning, but now, the signal is weak. And before someone "axes", the bill is paid up.

I'm using a crappy AOL dial up connection, which on a good day gets me 26.6. Even worse, I keep getting a bunch of stupid random IMs from people wanting to sell me drugs.

As soon as I get off this machine, Comcast is gonna get a less than tactful call. I'll go easy on them, cause its probably "Echo Omega" trying to silence me. Hopefully, I'll be back in world in a couple of days.

wow, comcast screwed you over? And my comcast connection supposedly is now twice as fast as it was, and it seems it too, maybe they screwed your area and gave my area the bandwidth

Personally, I don't believe in wireless modems. I hvve no need for the convenience of computing from the crapper. Its unlikely that the problem is with my equipment. Comcast is usually pretty good in my area, but at least twice a year, it dies for a day or two. For now, its the best option for broadband in my neighborhood. I live too far from the nearest phone company CO, and satellite sucks for gaming.

I called last night, they said I was in an "outage area", and that someone was working on it. If I'm back later today, I'll consider myself lucky.
