SL is full of talented people, so I'm sure at least someone out there must be good with InDesign. I'm new to the program myself, and I've run across a little stumbling block. I'd sure appreciate some help. Let me explain what's going on.
On one page of my document, the program will not allow the same color gamut as on all other pages. I'm trying to use a pure red (RGB 255,0,0) for some text, which works fine on all pages except the "poblem page," in which the program insists on changing it to a dull maroon (RGB 198, 72, 42). I have no idea why it's doing this. I've scoured the help files to no avail. I've tried making a new master, and pasting all the objects on the page into it. I've tried deleting the master, and just pasting the objects into a blank page. The results are the same every time. The program for some reason just will not allow that shade of red to go with anything that came from the "problem page."
Anyone know what's going on, and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, it's Indesign 3.0, the one that comes with CS1, if it makes any difference.
EDIT: I did a little more playing around, and it seems the problem has to do with transparency. The only difference I could find between the "problem page" and the others was the fact that the "problem page" has images with transparency on it, and the others don't. So, I experimented by putting a transparent image on another page. As soon as I did this, the red text changed to match the color on the "problem page".
The question ow becomes why does placing a (grayscale) image with transparency onto a page change the color scheme of the page, and is there a way to prevent this?
