Thanks for the free trial, got to float around, push over some dominos, shoot some arrows..and my personal favorite, wear a house on my head.

Nooooo!
I talked with Grant in the newbie area. He seemed like a really great guy. I think he was probably just one of many we'll be losing to the new trial limitations. Any of you get bored within the first week when you had access to the whole game? This is a travesty ![]() |

I never made it past day three..signed up then. I am not sure this free trial thing is beneficial...I mean I try and go down to the welcome area at least once a day and help out. Yesterday I spoke with a trial person for about a half hour answering all her questions and trying to be a good ambassador..but it is a little lame telling people how this place is great --or -- want to see some pictures of places you cant go? etc etc..........I know why the lindens are trying this out but I just don't think it is the way to sell this place. It is like trying to sell a car and showing the people the trunk only..oh yes the interior is so luxurious and the engine is so powerful and handling is impeccable etc . oh and you can test drive this precision instrument too..here let me help you into the trunk and then we can test drive this baby and see what it really has.............

According to announcements as of tomorrow trial users will be able to go anywhere. So don't ditch the trial yet.

Good/Bad news! (Depending on your opinion)
The Lindens are removing the 4-sim cap with version 1.0.5. Hopefully they fix the money() event bug with the release. _____________________

Not so sure abut the house-head. I was chatting with a group the other day and someone with a house attached to him/her-self kept jumping into the center of things. Never said a word though. Would go away when asked, but then come back and do the same five minutes later. People who, like this, are terminally bored, and yet don't really want to interact with anyone, we can do without. They really should be skateboarding on the freeway rather than using a computer.
I chatted with someone in the trial area yesterday too. Very smart pre-college type. She had a few questions that I could clear up. The most interesting one was an uncertainty about how big the whole "world" was as compared to what she could explore during the trial. I had her click on the "world" button on the map and the full picture was apparently impressive to her. I also mentioned that it would grow with the user base. It would be nice if they could actually wander around somehow though, the variety of those four sims is not optimal in my opinion. YAY.... just noticed the 4 sim restriction has been lifted as of tomorrow. Good move! |
