Well, Last night I was hard at work on scripting my latest invention when a woman in black clothing, sporting a sleek tail, took notice of my handiwork. She took the time out of her busy (second) life to ask how things were and even handed out a cool jacket and badge and complimented my work several times. And for those few unfortunate people that know me in SL, she even put up with my goofy playfulness. Now how cool is that? Very nice touch Lindens! Thanks again Char.

Char Linden

Char is wonderful! A real special Lady. As a new mentor she has helped me feel comfortable in my efforts. I would also like to ad 3 other "come to my resuce Lindens". I gave a tour of the compete trail. I went over it my self, Thought I had it covered. But when we got started, things were a little messed up. Lee Linden help gather the group that was in two differnt places. (learned to put coordinates into the events list) Ben Linden was at the Jet ball court working on a project. He was a major help. Since I never had seen any one playing these games. It occured to me it might be nice, if the touritst could actually play them. He spent a few mins showing us how to play several of the games until he was called away. When we got to Lazer tag we couldn't find the items to play. It was Haney Linden to the rescue. Then making full circle at the Sumo Ball. which was a blast. Lee came to reset the game. My tourist had dwindeled to a few by the end of the tour, but I was assured that each one had had a blast. Thanks to the 3 super hero Lindens. With out them the tour would have been a bust.

Linden Appreciation Day
06-06-2003 07:43
I think we should designate a Linden Appreciation day. I mean, why not? They are always there to help us when we need them. I can't count the countless times Aurican and I had to call one over due to an anomalie we found or some other mishap. I can honestly say with out their stedfast dedication to the second life world, one we wouldn't have it, and two it just wouldn't be the same. So I would like to officially propose the first SL holiday (that I know of anyway) Linden appreciation day. But when should it be??? Hummm... Any Ideas?

Its going to be whatever day SL is officially released...I am hearing its going to be June 23rd, so, if so, that will be the date At least, I think it (the holiday) should be on this date.

The best token of Linden Appreciation would probably be to transition from Beta to Paying player ;p

Day before release? Sounds good to me. Maybe we could hire the best designer of SL to make them a nice jacket to wear to show our thanks?

Kudos to the Lindens
06-09-2003 10:29
I'm quite new to the SL community (having joined yesterday), but I must say I've been very impressed with all the people I've met. Especially the Lindens, as I've been in the betas for EQ, AC1, and a number of other online games, and you almost never see any actual staff around the games checking on things. In contrast, I ran into at two Lindens last night who stopped to talk to me.
Not only that, but they've created the most impressive virtual world I've ever seen, by giving the residents the powers to create. Contrast that with many other online games where creativity seems to be a crime.
Kudos to the Lindens!

This game is something very special and the Lindens have made it great. I have been in other online games and the developers and the ppl behind the scenes were in the game but pretended to be other ppl. Many secrets were held and it was like playing with no idea of what was going on behind the scenes. Although certain ppl were informed of the goings on not everyone was. That is not the case with Second Life. The Lindens have always been more than nice and very open as to the workings of this game/world. I appreciate that so much and untill you have played a game that wasn't as user friendly you realy dont know how fustrating and belittling that can feel. Special info givin to only a "select" few is just plain dumb. Why not include all players so their expereinces are rich and rewarding and they feel supported and appreciated. Well the Lindens have done that from day one and I want to say "Thank you" you have something special here and I see how you continue to improve and suprize me. I love how I do not have to listen to "fake hype" for months on end only to be let down (you all know that game and if you dont consider yourself blessed) This is bar none the best online gaming experience I have had. As I knew this game was going public soon I doubled my ram! lol I have made several improvements to my system to make my experience the best it can be. My only complaint is that I personaly do not have enough hours in the day my rl job gets in the way of my fun! lol Congrats Lindens I see this game going Gold Cat

Ok its looking like we have a solid crew to pull this off. I think its going to happen. Un-sure of when exactly but we will figure something out. So.. Please be patient and I promise everyone will hear about the event. It will be one to remember. (And probably one to bring the sims to their knees) -Skippy
