I am a first time user. HOw come when i start the second life game it says connecting to server and never starts ? iS it supposed to take forever to connect? i am on a cable modem

Hi, chris, and welcome, at least as soon as you get your problem fixed. It shouldn't take much time at all to establish a connection.
This is really something you're more likely to get answered by asking the Lindens directly or checking the FAQ or Knowledgebase under Service & Support. But one thing I'd suggest is checking (if you haven't already) to make sure your firewall isn't blocking ports that SL needs. See: this KB entry Good luck! -Jay |
