From: someone A notecard titled "Please read if you have time" reads:Hi, a friend of mine is a minor in SL. As soon as he found out about the Teen grid, he's applied and has an account. But his Main Grid account is still here, and he wants to gather a few things before he leaves. He's never had much money, and would like to buy a few things to bring with him so that he can make his new home a pleasant one. I am grateful for all donations, thanks  Please pass this on to as many as possible, and please send any money sent to you to the person who sent you this notecard. The notecard was created by me, but I didn't send it. What probably happened is that someone got a notecard from one of my vendors, erased the text, typed in their own, and then handed it out to anyone they could find. Someone contacted me about it (annoyed of course) and I had them check their history to see who gave the card. Sure enough, it wasn't me! I have already sent an email to abuse about the spam. If you've received a notecard like this, you can just discard it. I didn't send it, I don't know anyone who is moving to the teen grid, I'm not soliciting donations for anyone (& have received none so far), and in any case, you can't even transfer money from the main grid to the teen grid. Oh yeah... and the author of that notecard mixed past tense with past participle. Not something I am prone to do. Edit: If you want to know who actually sent you the card, press Ctrl+H and look for something like "Joe Blow gave you a notecard" in the history. |

Yup, I got spammed this morning. I was afk at the time, checked the creator to see who sent it, so I am glad I read this thread It's certainly ensured I only send non mod notecards from now on. Sorry to hear this was done in your name  |

Oh boy. LL needs to revisit note cards so that once someone other than the original creator modifies and saves a notecard, the creator tag changes as well.

After I read that, immediate thought that came to mind was:
This writing isn't up to Huns's caliber.
This sounds like rumors -- the rules aren't even out in the open about it.
I still want notecard creators retained when I'm editing a friend's document for corrections, however.
