I was at one of the big, urban malls in Portland, OR on Saturday and I experienced the usual weekend shopping madness that seems to strike between Oct. 31 and Dec. 25 -- packed parking lots, holiday lights and music and paraphernalia everywhere, people three deep and wandering around in a stupor (granted, a less panicked stupor since it's still early in the holiday shopping season). I hate shopping malls in general, and I reserve a special loathing for holiday shopping, which is why I try to do as much internet and catalog shopping as possible for Christmas gifts.
Suddenly, visions of stockings stuffed with gift certificates for SL danced in my head. Got anybody on your gift list who would enjoy interacting and creating in a virtual world? Maybe an annoying co-worker you'd really love to cut down with a virtual shotgun? How about a three-month subscription to SL? Share the joy with friends and family. Just a thought.
