Need To Change Sl Name!! How????

I WANT TO CHANGE MY SL NAME! I NEED TO GET AWAY FROM SOMEONE BUT I DONT' WANT TO BLOCK THEM & LET THEM KNOW I'M AVOIDING THEM. I WANT TO AVOID THEM STEALTHFULLY. HOW DO I CHANGE MY SL NAME?

You cant change your name.
And whats with the caps?
If you report abuse on said person they wont know it was you and the Lindens can deal with it.

First off, CALM DOWN!!! Noone likes it when your caps lock key gets stuck ;P

Now, theres no way to do it yourself, but if oyu talk to a Linden they *MAY* be able to help you- ive heard of people getting the capitolizations of their names fixed, so who knows what they can do..

Sorry about the caps locks. I feel it's my fault I'm being pursued so much. I want to let this person down easy but without them knowing about it. I prefer to change my identity than tell them the truth, which is I don't want them to be a part of my life. I can't report them because I'm not exactly being harrassed. Feel bad about the whole situation. I want to do this the easy way and just change names. I wish there were a way. Sorry about the caps locks again, guys. I guess I'm just too lovable a person to face them with the truth and break there heart. I'll try to deal with it. THanks for your advice.

Simpler said than done sometimes, but, Honesty is the best policy.

What if this person you are trying to avoid learns your new name down the road? You will have a even bigger problem to deal with then.

If it were me you were trying to avoid, I would rather hear it out in the open so I could close the book and move on.

Either tell them to go away, or that you don't want the relationship to continue in the same way it has. Discuss it like adults.

If this person then gets irked and threatens you or starts harassing you, then report it.

It's part of being an adult or young adult, dealing with relationship issues.

Additionally to the most previous post, in real life when a relationship goes awry one cannot simply change their name and run away unless his/her life is in danger. Yours really isn't--you're just uncomfortable. I say, let the person know you don't want to be friends. You'll be better for it.

Unwanted chat and harassment is against the community standards.

Though we know that there will always be unwanted chat, most of it isn't annoying enough to report. However, consistentlt targeting a person in a way that is objectionable to that person (while on safe land) is a violation and has gotten people suspended.

As for name changes, we don't allow them. There is nothing preventing you from creating another account and closing out your first one, but that is something that you will have to choose to do, as opposed to something that we can help you with.
