I'm in a region that has download caps.
I've noticed my count plummet quite dramatically since playing second life.
While this means I have to be more diligent myself, with such high downloads occuring this means that in regions that have download caps Second Life may not do so well when it goes gold.
I'm going to work out on average how much MB's second life consumes, but if someone has already worked it out could you post here too?

I'm at a university where I've got a complex usage cap that puts me down to a 26k speed connection when I cross it's invisible line
I get 500K a week, and on average, I use about 100mb to 150 on nights where I'm on SL for quite a few hours.
If you really want to keep your usage down, lower your draw distance as low as it can go, and avoid flying all over the place, and when you fly, do it high up... as far as I can tell so far if you're draw rate is 64 and you're 100 above the ground, you won't download nearly as many object information packets as you would otherwise....
