ok........here is my issue.
I am in construction in RL. I estimate, figure structural loads, and help in the design of framing and layout. I started building my house in SL. All of a sudden, I am thinking of support members, stringers for stairs, pilasters, tie-beams and bearing points. So far, my house seems to be structurally correct..........somewhat. I am having so much fun designing in 3D!!! Personally......I dont care about the cost of each member. I want to be able to stand back .....analyze my finished creation and know it wont fall into the ocean.
Can I go broke doing this? Will my weekly paycheck help me out? I am getting a little concerned because my roof is going on next using post and beam construction.........hehe.

OMG.........wonder what the cost would be to install straps and tie-downs for hurricane protection and will the windows meet design pressure for state Linden codes?
I will stop rambling..............Thanks all

Hey Barry - thats funny. :p I'm not as crazy as you, but I also try to build in such a way that stuff look that same as if it was really built in RL. Things look better if it looks right.

I have girders outlining the shape my building will be when I'm done. I was thinking to build a crane for visual effect :p

Heh, up until a few days ago, I was building my RL house in Teal. I took it to inventory to build a TV station on my land. I will eventually take my house out again when I become rich and famous :D
