Torleyday! Of course we'd all eat watermelon while dancing around with purple hippos on our heads :-)

Or um, what about... Texturemas, Scripturnalia, Dwellgiving, Primza, and of course Linden Day.

If someone doesn't say something that's not completely silly, I think this thread is headed to the off-topic bucket.

*sticks out her tongue at the thread and offers this* Something akin to Halloween.. instead of wearing costumes to ward off and confuse vengeful spirits, we wear costumes to hide from the icky "cannot log in"!
And maybe a holiday to celibrate the all important milestone of the first live sim crash? Call it, Crashmas!
How about a day where instead of contests, clubs and such just hand out the money? - Cashmas?
Not to mention that we should definately hold some Educational-Fests and A Newby-Day, were the people who joined during that year can meet up and chat with other newbies. And not to mention an Over-the-Hill-day, for the older avatars to meet and greet!

Yes!! Absolutely, Gridmas! Perfect name. And we can all go shopping for Gridmas presents for our friends, yay! There should be souvenir 'Gridmas 2005' t-shirts or something. :)

Actually, Torleyday sounds like fun, too.... :D

And, on a more serious note, how about a day set aside to show appreciation for all the Mentors, Live Helpers, Liaisons, etc. who knock themselves out regularly to help others?

I think we should celebrate the day taxes on prims ended.

It was a rebirth of creativity in SL. Those who never felt the restraints of creating versus Lindens are probs the majority now, but still should celebrate the freedom they were "born" with.

It should be a day of massive creativity for creativity’s sake.

I think it should be the first day that SL opened to the public. It should be celebrated on the second of the month perhaps or the second of the year if nobody can find that date. Everyone could rez a prim with the Second Life logo on it perhaps and then set it on fire.

oh damn YES. ( How do you make a word huge and bold and red?)

As a new player, I discovered that once upon a time back in the dark, oppressive days of unenlightenment there was a horrible pox upon the land called "taxes on prims". I shiver to think how narrowly I escaped that brutal oppression. My greatest fear is that they might ever be reinstated.
