My house yesterday blew apart the middle section is gone all but the windows that were linked. My aspen leaf art gallery has missing parts. Is it a vandalism or a bug. I think bug but what do I do now rebuild and have it happen again? Has any one had this happen to you?

Sounds like a bug to me....just file a bur report to let LL know about it.

"Now what?" you ask. Well, now it's time to rebuild. There is a slim chance that you can get them to roll back the server and get your build back...but I wouldn't count on that happening.

And you're not the only one to have this problem....there have been at least a couple other people who have had this happen.

Sorry bout your house! :(

Maybe one of those tornados in the news hit your house?

Wow, sorry to hear that Shantilly, I hope it's recoverable. I've never had that happen - by accident anyway.

Your paintings are great :)

Shantilly, after speaking with you yesterday I'm glad things are getting back to normal and that you have been able to repair your damage from your inventory. Prudent decision to keep backup copies handy. This world has many instabilities that can wreak havoc on one's hard work. I hope your area has returned to normal and will not suffer any afterasers.

I also hope this isn't indicative of a wider instability with the rest of the world...

"This world has many instabilities that can wreak havoc on one's hard work."

And how. These work-destroying instabilities need a way to be reconciled other than, "sorry, now get to rebuilding".

Building is fun, and is why we play.

Rebuilding is drudgery, and is not why we play.

Shantilly,

Sorry to hear about your problems, but by the sound of it things are getting back to normal.

Some time ago I did see someone else in the forums complaining about the same problem, and asking the Lindens to do something about it. I can't remember who it was, and obviously their pleas had no effect. :(

Anyway, glad you didn't lose anything permanently.

Once a long time ago, in a land far far away.......JK
No really, once along time ago, someone fired a rocket into my house, and some of the floors disappeared. I was new and I think I had the land set damage enabled. And I never saw/heard anything like it again, until now. I think if you are allowing damage, it might be possible. But I'd love to know what the truth is!
Is this a SL Urban Legend? lol
I swear it happened to me..................................
