Some info and features:
-The site is made using PostNuke.
-You can register using your full name with a space to help reduce confusion of identites.
-I will be accepting adverisements, I can put 88x31 buttons on the sides of the site, and banners in the center of the site. As soon as I get a payment system worked out, I'll charge a little for them, for now, you can email them to me, [email]maki@slmaki.com[/email], and I'll get them on there for free.
-I'll need a couple of reporters! As a reporter, your username is added to a 'Reporters' group, in which has the ability to directly post news to the website without it being first approved by an Admin or Reporter - Reporters will be able to accept general Users' news submissions.
-The site will have it's regular Reporters of events and such, but everyone who is a member of the site can submit their own News concerning their own upcoming events, and any announcements they'd like to make.
If the site seems to do well, I'll add some more modules, occasionally re-do the graphics, and possibly get it's own domain when beta goes public, however, the current address we have now is great - news.Your2ndLife.com - Thanks Kerstin!
Go ahead and register your name if you'd like to be a part of this. Our only current limitation is that we cannot include screenshots in the news posts, by request of Peter. As soon as beta goes public, we should be able to use these depending on the current NDA. Email me with your Advertisements and Requests to be a Reporter as well..
