Well, since Andrew L. let the cat out of the bag on my TOP SECRET PROJECT (h.h.j.k.), I might as well formally announce it.

TANK WARS! Yes that's right, you heard me, TANK WARS!

Come to the canyons of Gibson, get a tank and blast the snot outta your enemies. Up to 5 different teams can play at a time, multiple people per team.

Just pick-up games right now, so you might need to find a friend. Are Tank Wars tournaments and leagues coming in the future? They just might be.

I wouldnt worry about it. Its very fun and will no doubt be going on long after your event ends. Come after you're finished.

This isn't a capital-E event, I'm just suggesting a time people can drop by to try it when there's a good chance there will be people there to fight against. People can stop by anytime to play.

I have beta tested W. Grimm's tanks and the offical report is that they are SOooOooO COOL!.

mr. WG has done it. Tank wars is by far the coolest multi player event in SL at the moment. I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!

Curse you Wednesday! I have to be at the wedding rehearsal tonight and do all sorts of shopping before hand. GAHHHHH. Ah well, I will be there next time (hopefully).

Kathy - you buy one for $1 (or at least that's how he had it set up the other day) which is rather reasonable considering it's like playing a video game at an arcade. Only more fun. So I think the supply of tanks is pretty limitless.. well okay 30 for the number of people in the sim, but!

$1 was the beta-tester discount rate, and the beta period is now over The tanks are currently priced at $15, and are one-off's, if you get killed you have to buy another.

We tested with as many as 10 tanks playing at one time and things went pretty smoothly. If many more people than that are playing at once it may get laggy, who knows? It's all a wonderful mystery.

Eh, $15 is still worth it.

That was a blast. Plain and simple

I still have a couple tanks in inventory. I drove one around Shipley for a bit last night and fired a few rounds. (Do these rounds do any actual "damage" against anything other than another tank?)
