lol hello, we logged in.. it was a failed mission.. now where is the benshee and stuff?!? lol

I know they are gonna do the drawings on friday.. but they could have at least gave everyone their benshees.!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want a dildo and a benshee, then ill be okay.

The reason for the delay is a little... disappointing.

Apparently, you need a permit to bring Benshees across the border. Linden Lab didn't have one. Thus, delay.

Virtual Benshees are export classified as munitions (kind of like cryptography) and consequently handled by the SL ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms). It appears that all the proper paper work for shipping munitions were not completed.

I'm still really curious to know how, exactly, these things are going to be 'personalized.' Will they have our names stamped on 'em or something? Programmed to address us by name? Or will they be 'personalized' in more subtle and sinister ways, as cleverly disguised tracking devices? And how do they plan to find the time to personalize 3800+ of them? So many questions. Can't wait till Friday!

I think the banshees are the real load test. How many banshees can the asset server dish up all at once? Will we need to add decimal places to the FPS debug display for the sub-1 range?

There's a Benshee floating by the fountian in the main Linden Office (Kirkby 138, 224).

I touched it and it started going in circles and making purdy particle patterns, although rudimentary attempts at communication have failed.
