I got invited to a party, so I bought presents. I also bought an unscripted box to put aforementioned presents into.

Whether by one of the myriad asset server bugs or the arcane permission system that was supposed to be rationalized a year ago, I can't even see what the contents of this gift box are and neither can anyone else.

In principle, a Liaison could, but they don't.

I could bitch about the L$ but I'm more irked at the hours I spent gathering things which I own(*) and cannot view or even see the names of (nor of course, give to the recipient).

Warning: Putting Things in Boxes May Be Hazardous to Your User Experience

(*) Yes I read the ToS, no I don't really own them that's just a figure of speech - LL owns them.

You can't see them at all? That sounds odd to me. Is it a multi-prim box, perhaps with a bow or some other decoration? If so, have you checked all of the sub-prims of the box to make sure the gifts aren't sitting in one of those? It just strikes me as weird that the objects wouldn't be visible at all if this were a permissions problem.
