As a history major, as someone who works in a senior citizen center, and as someone who appreciates the freedoms we enjoy, I'd be neglectful to not mention today is the anniversary of D-Day.

Remember when you're impatiently standing on line in a convenience store today, that the old guy in front of you who's taking 10 minutes trying to write a check might have been one of those guys on Red Beach.
