Feel free to comment. Enjoy!

Sometimes when you're lost
And you wonder where you are to be found
You realize wherever you go, there you are
So you're not lost
Then you see there is a place for you to be found
So is anything lost
As long as a place exists where it can be found?
You find...
You find yourself lost.

--------

Staring at the gate of the great Unkown
All my thoughts does its presence plunder
Though I will never know what it is I see
Never will I cease to wonder
If it's staring back at me

-------

Here we are so far from home,
This fanciful dream of a better life
Everyone promised their own sweet throne
And here is our leader, now caught in strife.

A gun to his head, the barrel cocked
We started on high, kept going strong
And here we are standing, dazed and shocked
Asking ourselves just what went wrong.

One will fall, one shall rise
As the trigger clicks, it's done
I see one last glimpse of his eyes
And i know it's only just begun.

Darwin! Nice job
Deep. Dark?. Delightful!!

heres one of mine:

a tiny box you
hold in your hand
a device which to capture
the face of a man
it stops time
suspends it forever
small square memories
for generations to treasure
capture beautiful sunsets
gorgeous mountains or trees
or some other such creations
perhaps you or maybe me
is it a comfort
for us sentimental types
there is a way
to preserve memories of life
for the next time theres a memory
youve just got to have
click the button on your tiny box
and remember it always in your photograph!

great thread Mr Appleby!!

Untitled

I have discovered over time,
that I prefer those poems that rhyme.
And, something else that's even sweeter:
Are those rhymes with lots of meter.

Great stuff :) Darwin, I especially liked your second one. And Rosa, loved yours too.

Here's a couple of mine (warning: angst ahead)

Vigil

On a forgotten shore
by a tumultuos sea
stands a time-ruined monument
to a featureless God.
His vanishing mouth speaks unspeakable things...
like Autumn leaves they fall unchecked.
His infinite wisdom lies scattered,
blown by a directionless wind.
His cold stone eyes stare blankly at the horizon,
seeing at once everything...
and nothing.

I know not the purpose of his silent vigil...
Only that he waits for something
that will never come.

Sometimes in dreams I journey to this place,
to share in his pain,
and cry for his loss.
I awake
remembering nothing...
feeling nothing.

Just a vague sensation that I've just seen my soul.

Writer's Block

Russian roulette with a loaded pen.
Empty pages click in quick succession,
Until a loaded thought reopens wounds
to fill a page with patterned bleedings.

these are fantastic!!! I enjoy this thread!!! MORE MORE MORE???

Ill do a second Just because this is fun

I sat at my desk
with a rather large frown
sad because
my hard drive is down
All my co workers
have all had a good lunch
but all that I got
was a megabyte crunch
My monitor is dimming
my modem is flashing
Oh Lord help me
the whole system is crashing
My program is lost
the back up deleted
just two more lines
and it would have been completed
the office is empty
I am all alone
Just me and my mouse
that sits by the phone
Technology is super , technology is great
It must be us humans
to make these mistakes
So why tell me why
if the systems so straight
why tell me why do I suffer
COMPUTER Headache??

:) thank you for reading
