I'm posting this for two reasons. One is to make aware of the live entertainers within SL and two to bring attention to a heart warming story of a young new artist. I find so many people when talking to them are not aware of the live musicians that are within SL. People like Astrin Few who pioneered the live show probably close to a year ago. Singer Tyne who has recently joined the ranks of providing live entertainment and Wayfinder who steps up to the mic with his live show and Frogg Marlow whom we have taken a personal interest in helping him get started. (I hope i'm not forgetting anyone and if I have please reply here.) Recently Hamlet wrote an article on Frogg Mr Frogg's Wild Ride From homelessness survivor to virtual entertainer which I found to be heart warming and an inspiration to other would be entertainers. I am so glad that cua and I were able to help him renew his interest in music. It is wonderful that all these folks are given the opportunity to be heard by so many people and I hope that the list of live entertainers continues to grow. You guys are all terrific! For those of you that are interested in listening to these musicians there is a group I believe Astrin started called Live Music Enthusiasts (correct me if i'm wrong Astrin) which is open enroll. Live shows are announced through this group.

I have had the privilege of having met Frogg Marlowe, and I must say that I am genuinely happy for his success, in RL and in SL. Way to go, Frogg!!!
I would also like to thank all of the live entertainers, like Astrin Few, who really take some major risks for their audiences.
Bravo/Brava!

It's sad to see such cruelty still continues... when so many of my brethren have already been sacrificed in the name of 7th grade biology class....
hahaha
TY all so very much.... I'm no longer hopping mad... now I'm doing my happy dance!!
I'm looking forward to getting the chance to play for as many of you as will listen, and have been enjoying the whole concept of SL in general and as a place to meet people and build a network that my RL musician friends can reach out through as well...
See you on the other side!

Yup, Drift, the group is Live Music Enthusiasts. Performers are officers and listeners are members.
I'd like to remind folks that Jamie Otis runs workshops from time to time on getting yourself hooked up to a stream (which he can provide) so you, too, can perform. You have no tech excuse if you've got a microphone and a sound card, and I know you DO have those! So drop Jamie a line if you want to perform in world and need some technical assistance.
