Judging from the entries here, it looks like they're comparing to IE (obviously) and Firefox.

And if ya think that's a biased source, well, bite me, and btw... OPERA's better anyway!

All you Firefox users are SHEEP! (Hey, FF users are alot more numerous than Opera users now I think, so Opera users are the enlightened minority!

)

(Never mind the fact that I never tried Fox, let me be biased in peace!!! And we really needed a good spam/flame combo thread in here, so sue me...)

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. I use an SMA alpha browser and since only 7-8 of us even know it exists, I am afraid you are no longer the enlightened minority and when we sell it to Microsoft in a couple years there will be no more sheople, just enlightened non Opera using guru's.

I used Opera 2.0, 3.62, and 6.0 extensively. I got tired of its instability - it always crashed when i opened a lot of tabs and then closed them. Opera 7.0 crashed just about every time I opened it. That page is full of it, though. Speed and size are irrelevant, support is unnecessary, and most of what they call a "feature" is not a feature. It's bloat. My browser should only be a browser and not a fricking operating system... besides, i use gmail. Oh, and did I mention that OPERA HAS ADS?

Can't believe that opera even gets compared to firefox? I mean opera is so unstable the quick loading is twarted by the end task and reopen scenarios that many have gone through countless times. Firefox takes a few miliseconds longer but it's for feature enhanced and stays up for days.

How is Opera unstable? I've never had a problem with Opera crashing--there must be something wrong on your end if that's happening, OS related or something, that's all I can think of. I'm on version 7.54 though. Or maybe it's related to the ad-sponsored version only. And Opera does *not* have ads!

The free version has ads...but once again, you get what you pay for.

Besides, my point earlier was that it's the fastest (contrary to what every other browser tries to claim), not the best (although I'm not saying it isn't)! (Well I was jokingly calling it "best" but in reality I don't think any of them are "the best".)
