Ok.. I am not trying to offend anyone! I just realy don't know and want your opinions so I am forced to repeat this here. Again (*cough cough) I am not sure about this kind of thing so I hope you don't laugh or think badly of anyone .. I am just putting it here for information and feedback on its being an ethnic joke - and in poor taste (ahem)

You could probably work around the whole ethnicity thing if 1. you're a guy and 2. you change "the British" to "my wife".
I'd laugh more at that setup, only because I wasn't aware of a reputation/stereotype of the British as being cold fish in bed. _____________________

I've heard the same joke, but with different ethnicity. I wouldn't call it racist in this context, although I imagine that there might be a frigid Brit or two who would be offended.

hee hheee those are goooood. And yep they can apply to anyone/race. I personally enjoy putting the President and his wife's names in there. But it was originally told to me about Brits ... so... my question.
Now I am reminded of a book that an Irish friend of mine had in her bookstore. It was titled: The Irish guide to sex. You open it up and there on the first page is: "Brace yourself Bridget!" and that is all - the rest of the book is blank. heh heh - _____________________

I really dont understand that. The joke merely said that Brittish people arent responsive during sex. Obviously incorrect, or there would be a lot less of them. Whether or not your a virgin also really doesnt matter to the joke since you are just a single person , and this joke is more of a stereotype thing. |
