As most people know, the Sci Fi Museum in Indigo has long been a place for sci fi builders in SL to display their work. Well, I'm pleased to anounce that we're expanding our service to include support beyond simply displaying models from individuals. We are furthering our support of sci fi in SL by offering sci fi groups a centralized place to promote themselves. I will designate a room in the museum where sci fi groups can set up displays to describe who they are and what they do. Displays can be anything from simple posters to more elaborate informational items such as notecard dispensers, website links, etc.
Please respond to this thread if you're a member of a sci fi group, and you'd like to have a spot in the museum. I'd like to be able to compile a list as soon as possible so we can get started.
By the way, please keep in mind the museum is a not-for-profit enterprise. The operating costs are paid for 100% by the proceeds from Sci Fi Supplies stores. This new promotional space for groups is offered as a free public service in order to help further sci fi in SL. It is absoltely not to be considered a commercial opportunity for anyone. If your group sells things, great, but the focus of your display should be on your non-commercial endeavors. Remember, we're helping your group for free. Vendors and for-sale items will be strictly prohibited on the museum premises.
If your group is interested in a space, please let me know as soon as possible. I expect spots to fill pretty fast, as there are an awful lot of groups out there. We'll try as hard as we can to accomodate every group, but space is limited.

I'll have to talk to my group members about it, but I think we'll be interested as well. Not enough Stargate things out there other than the 'rings I've been seeing, and I do know a few of us have been modelling some items, and since they're artists and not coders, we could use some scripters to help round out the 'cast' so to speak.
