PG Land? Maybe made a mistake

I bought some land then realised it was PG. I am not 18 and under.....I imagine that part is fine. But it is gonna be a house with me and my GF in it and we may heh get frisky I dunno. Whata re the rules about this? I mean no one can get in but......people do thing in real life in normal places all the time I just dunno what tod o...I think I might be out some land and money heh.

Any thought and ideas?

If you feel this is a concern, then it probably is. My suggestion is to resale the land and buy some in a mature sim. (sigh) It is a bit annoying that we don't have a switch in looking for land to buy that allows us to toggle between PG and Mature!!!

Totally what I was thinking. I found a good piece somewhere else I will but my losses oh well live and learn. Will never make that mistake again hehe. Thanks. And yes that option would be great. It is a PG area near a Mature area so I dind't see it change to PG as I flew there

I just hope nobody has that filter on to filter out Mature areas. (And, unfortunately, when you start out, it IS filtered out, and it takes some time to figure out that the filter is causing you to see a much shorter list of things in Find.)

I hope that, because my store is on mature land (because there are fewer restrictions, and because mature land is worth more), but I realized last night that having it on mature also HIDES the store and all its (G-rated) contents from anybody with that filter on.

Maybe the "mature" vs "PG" distinction is outliving its usefulness.

You can do anything you want within the confines of your house as long as it doesn't disturb the peace. If you are saying things that should be private, use the IM feature. The only way anyone could be offended is if they look through your walls. They would be breaking privacy rules, so it's unlikely they would complain.

If you bought from an individual... contact them, explain your mistake and maybe they will be nice and refund your money.

If you bought it on auction... contact LL, explain the mistake and they will reverse the transaction.

You can't get nakie in a PG sim... well, you can but if comebody reports you ya will be in troubs with LL... so if you wanna get giggy wit yer GF... and I assume you wanna get giggi while nakie... then you will need to buy land in a mature area.

Sorry Kevin but there are no privacy rules in SL... would love for there to be... but none coming from LL. And no... you aren't allowed to be nakie anywhere in a PG sim.

I think privacy trumps th complainer who peeks thru walls.. but that's just an opinion

Alas it does not. I know people who have been suspended due to being naked in their homes in a PG sim and someone walking in and getting offended. And some have been suspended or warned for displaying a *discreet* nude piece of artwork on their wall inside their home in a PG sim.

Even in a mature sim, any objects considered "XXX" are to be behind walls. Fewer tend to report violations of this sort in Mature Sims though.

So no, privacy does not trump the complainer in a PG sim.

Once upon a time, I actually had someone stalk my home... thankfully for a short period of time... though the Lindens were sympathetic I was informed that there was nothing I could do about it.

Think this is more like if you upload a texture with Philip Lindens phone number on it

If I broke into your house and called the cops because I saw you had drugs in there I would go to jail too. So if someone breaks the TOS in order to be offended, they should get suspended as well. That's my opinion tho

It is a bannable offence to hide while taking pictures, this was stated by LL shortly after this "Sky on you SL Partner" stuff started up. Wonder how that would play into this, should your doors be locked and windows opaque.

It is entirely possible to make very satifying love to your partner thru IM messages, while simply holding each other as far as the visuals go. My lover and I have found once our IMs have been iniated we hardly look at the AV's, we are too buy looking at the text and responding. Talk to your lover more, you will find it much more satisfying.
