Avatars Built To Be Destructive.....

I find it very offensive to have to deal with such destructive people in SL, Everyone of us came to SL for a reason, most enjoy other people and the interaction, building discovering, showing how creative they can be and always willing to help others and share a kind word...but then there is that tiny percentage of indviduals who are hell bent on destroying anything good or postive...

Last night I thought about this long and hard, I wondered what was wrong with these handful of destructive people who's only goal in SL was to try to destroy all that is good and it dawned on me, these are the people who have nothing in rl or sl, the suffer from low self esteem, internal jealousy, slow minds and stupidity...and i began to feel pity for them.

They do not have the ability to make it in rl or sl so they try to disrupt the positive people, I guess what I am trying to say today is whatever your dream is in SL..go for it ignore there mindless few people who have no self worth and carry on in your world, make it what u want it to be. Exclude these drama filled avatars and carry on, most likely they wont even be able to pay for their accounts next month...

Like me! I'm both a complete bitch and tend to be amused by mass freakouts, deliberately doing the sort of stuff that people disapprove of just for kicks. Fortunately, since most of these hijinks arent against the ToS and are simply just a case of personal disapproval, I also rarely give a shit and can't get punished for it

my av is Native American, looks it, dresses the part, I've gotten a few slurs thrown at me, but the response has been overwhelmingly positive. My land has a home on it, done as a wigwam. I built it, it's not perfect, but pretty darn good.

On the other hand. Have you ever thought about why you WANT to upset people? Why you feel the need? I personally love going for shock value. But if a person isn't mean to me, or does nothing to harm me or mine, why would I wish to be mean to them?

Have I considered why I do it? yes. I told you. I'm a complete bitch. But mainly because it's funny! And most of it is relatively harmless and designed just to make people stew. I consider it a public service. You know how they love their drama

Well I'm more likely to know than anyone else, but frankly it'd still be armchair psychiatry on my part. Who knows? I may well be. But for now I just go with the bitch theory. At least its something we CAN all agree on

I so love that movie, And you know this is an intresting thread. There are always distructive people not just here but in other games places infact proberbly just as many if not more running around the real world. this place isnt just a game (or chat client) BUT and extention of ourselfs and who we are, and thats what makes sl what it is. If the game was over perfect without some small amount of conflict i think in some ways it could quiet possibly lead to bordem. I have honestly wondered. Anyway Point is there isnt much more you can do other than ignore the behaviour of others and where you can catch them report them for it.
Its like the real world. There is always a bad apple somewhere!
