Cox has been great for me...

I have had Cox cable internet now for 4 years, and it's been rock-solid. I've had more power outages than cable outages (cable outages caused by power outages not counting). And they haven't batted an eye at my sometimes crazy bandwidth usage. My service was originally 3000/256 and has been since upgraded to 4000/512; I still pay the same $35/month (that's with a $5 discount for also being a cable TV customer I think)

Of course, that's just my experience from one location in Tucson, AZ; their service level may vary in other cities or even elsewhere in town. Still, until somebody rolls fiber up to my curb and offers 10+ Mbit for the same price, I wouldn't even consider switching.

You may want to check out http://www.broadbandreports.com/ to get some more opinions before you make a choice though.

Good luck hon!

I've used Cox for a few years now and have had very few problems with them. When there have been problems, they've gotten someone out to check it within a couple hours, even after hours. (This is probably due to having a Business account, since I know we have our own service line.) They've been much more reliable, knowledgeable and customer-friendly than most other services we've used.

I'm happy with them.

I have had service with Cox for about 9 years, with one break of about 9 months when I was stupid enough to move where i couldn't get it. :eep:

I have loved it. They recently upgraded our service here from a 1.5 mbps downliad speed to 4 mbps at no additional charge.

I have been a Cox customer for about 9 years, with one break of about 9 months at one point when I was foolish enough to move without first checking for the availability of their service first.

I have rarely experienced any problems, and never any major ones. They upgraded my service last year from 1.5 mbps dowload speed to 4 mbps at no additional charge. I am a big fan of theirs.

Customer for 4 years, no real complaints. The juice got a little slow a couple years ago, but they added more capacity in a reasonable amount of time. Any service interruptions I can recall seem to have all been settled by resetting my router or their modem, which is easy. The new higher download speeds have been great as well. We can run two computers with SL going on both without a problem.

I have had Cox Internet Service for about a year. Other than a few random outages, I have been pleased with the service. The outages have typically been due to construction in my area and have usually only been a few hours.
