This has got to be in the VERY BASIC category, but could someone have pity and tell me what image size (pixel width and height) will EXACTLY fit the image window in the Profile window?
I warped the first one, made the second one square, and it's still distorted. |

Yep, 50x50, or 19.5KB. _____________________

If you mean for the Forums, it's 50x50, but if you mean your Profile in SL, then it's different -- it's still quite small, but more like 128x96.

I assume you mean in world profiles. I am not sure of the size, but what ever it is needs to be adjusted because the pics always look too stretched out and weird. I have a cute pic of me I wanted to put in my profile, but when I did it ended up making me look like a one eyed troll on crack because of the sizing issue.

The in world version:
I use the client in windowed mode, so one might think that one pixel = one pixel... so I took a screenshot to find the dimensions of that profile pic (actually its the first life one I'm talking about). In the screenshot the dimensions are 133x133 (133? Yeah I thought it was weird). So I edited my pic to those dimensions, uploaded, and its still blurry. That could be their compression though. In any case, you can get the aspect ratio by taking screenshots, which should solve the distortion at least. _____________________

Yes, I'm referring to the "texture" that you pay 10L$ to upload to use for the avvie image in the profile window.
I guess the pixel size is not a guarantee, since aspect ratio can change... etc etc. No real problem, except for the cost- I'm one of those "new" members who get 50L$ a week (if I'm a good boy)  |
