I just received a very odd e-mail from sl's [email]objects@users.seco[/email]ndlife addy. "Your privilege to modify 'another sl member's' objects has been revoked." I'm very confused as to why I would receive this considering that I don't ever recall being given any permission to modify any of this person's belongings to begin with.  Has this happened to anyone else or can anyone shed some light on this. Thanks, Carrera LeFay |

I received one of those today as well.. perhaps the person was just messing with their grant/revoke modify permissions settings, or maybe it's a bug. Not really sure!

You recieve this email when a person who has granted you "object modification" permissions has revoked them.
The permissions systems then sends you an IM, and if you have "IM via email" turned on, you will recieve this message. Make sense?

I just got one too. Maybe you don't get a message when they give you permission but you do get a message when they retract it? Perhaps this behaviour is a bug?
Also, is it always the same person causing these emails? Is their username 12 characters long, including the space?

Wednesday,
I believe that we are talking about the same user. I got the initial e-mail that the original post was about and then today I received an e-mail that I received permission from this person. Definitely starting to look more and more like a bug.

Im getting them too, from different people I dont really expect would grant me permissions to begin with. I get grant IMs and revove emails. Weird.

got one from Candy something-something, asked her what she/i coulda done to grant such a IM, but coudn't figure out anything. She's getting them too. I've never had any object by her that I know of.
