I'm a big fan of the TV series Firefly. It's loosely a science fiction show with the flavor of the American West, among other things. It was created by Joss Whedon, who created a little show called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Firefly stands fully on its own, however. It has an excellent cast, witty dialouge, tight plotlines (for a sci-fi show), and characters that you can really care about and enjoy. It ran for 13 episodes before FOX, in its infinite wisdom, canceled it to show more episodes of "The Swan".
Anyhoo, I'm one of the many people online promoting the heck out of the movie "Serenity", which is the big-screen continuation of the series. I'm trying to earn up enough points to get some movie swag for wearing at the premiere.
