Billing Question for Lindens

I submitted an email to billing, but no response yet... so I'm trying here.

My billing cycle was Dec 7 (3 days ago). If I switch to Lifetime it will take effect on Jan 7. If 1.2 comes out in 2 weeks, I will not have a lifetime membership *at the time 1.2 comes out*.

So, Lindens... what happens? If I pull the trigger today.. do I get the goodies or not?

Juro, yes.

Look in the Holy Crap thread. Around the 10th page. Phillip makes a post about it being an exciting night. He then links to a post with some answers.

Your question is answered in that.

OK, after reading that post you suggested, One... it didn't really answer my question.

I'm just afraid that if I buy the Lifetime, the activation date will be *after* the 1.2 launch, and would not qualify for the 'grandfathered' land grant.

Lindens, can you answer this one?

Juro-

I answered your support inquiry about this but will post it here as well. If you choose a lifetime membership before 1.2 and your billing date falls after the 1.2 release date then you would convert to, and be billed for, the lifetime membership on the date 1.2 is released.

Thanks Colin!

Odd, however, I've been checking my email every 10min.. and did not get the response you mention.

I will go kick the mail server. grr.

Colin, does that 'grandfather' me in with the land grant too?

If you choose a Lifetime account before we release 1.2, we'll bill you that day and you'll get the same treatment as our older lifetime residents, specifically the 4096m grant. You *are* paying full fare, after all.
