Due to the small success of the ask Jake anything thread, and the propsenity for peopole to want to disagaree or expand on my answers, I have made this thread where anyone who whishes a debate can post a topinc and expect a reasoned argument against the position they have taken. I hope since they will accept that i am playing devils advocate, they will refrain from personal attacks. If you disagree with an answe rin the Ask Jake anything thread, here is your chance to take me up.

I am not responsible for positions taken that ore unreasonable, illogical, un foundaed contradictory, ironic or just plain absurd.

You should debate Jake about the rules of the debates.

When the debate is debated and the debate is conclusivesly decided on how to have the debates then we can have the debate about Everyone being a figment of my imagination.

Well really since you have posted here we are a forums of two, although if we are both figments of collete's imagination then I suppose you are correct in asserting we are a forum of one. I take the position however that collete is real, you are real and so there are obviously more than one of us.

However an interesting problem does present itself if we are fignments of Collette's imagination and she is schizophrenic or sufferes from Multiple Personality Disorder, in which case we might be more than a figmented forum of one.

The standing ten count is not applicaple here. You are in or out. lol

And I am going to pretend that youn did not raise the ugly spectre of that great crime against humanity: the DH! It goes back to the playground-you play, you bat.

Well I can accept these rules.

Pro side:

It is hard to argue that the entire universe is a figment of Collette's imagination if you are not Collette. If I were someone other than collete I would be arguing that the entire universe is a figment of my imagination. However since I am not making that point, but rather I am asserting that the entire universe is a figment of Collette's imagination, I must be Collette.

Now you may say that I have a history that it is independent of Collette, since I recal being in Los Angeles Yesterday. However, it could very well be that I was not in LA yesterday at all, and that my memeory is a fantasy put in my head by collette. Collette might have creaded me and my memories just before she posted this, and thus everything you read about me was created by collette.

If I am collette, then my memory of going to LA yesterday is a fantasy, and LA must not exist other than in Collette's imagination. If LA does not exist, which should anything else I have expereinced exist, since collette created me and all my expereinces? Thus Colette myst have created the entire universe, and as such, it is a figment of her imagintation.

Hmmm also why whouldnt I have more importance in my own universe? I dont seem all that influential or even rich.

Plus my harem of dancing girls who all adore me must be on the fritz.

Still .. perhaps im part of my own psyhcotic hallucination - and im dreaming a mediocre life for myself.

Maybe Life is a pilot episode before my brain decides on a better show idea?
