I don't know the name, don't recall responding to any email from him (and looked), find it highly unlikely that if he did send a blitz I would be the only one to respond, and suspect this is a way of validating email addresses for spam.

Yeah, sounds iffy to me too. Personally I havent put any contact details in my SL profile... I prefer to give my email addy via an IM if necc. Call me paranoid
