Dedicated sims?

Ok, I just wanted to express this idea, and I think some of this idea has been brought up before, but I’d like to ask anyway.

What if some sims are planned communities. A person buys a lot, there are roads that run, organized, through the neighborhoods, and builds their home in virtual suburbia. The layout would encourage mobility and access, making it much more interesting to walk through while seeing more buildings than would otherwise be possible, but at the same time, give a real neighborhood feeling. Also, the planned community could have lake side access for everyone (make the lake fingering through everyone’s backyard)

Ok, now for the second, much more funky idea. How about some sky-rises. Tall buildings where people can buy a floor for their personal home. Elevator and lobbies give access, but doors lock for privacy? Frankly, this has been an idea of mine that I could never realize in Active Worlds, but I can see it happening here. Rancheros and country life is fine for some, but others want a more exciting city second life. Sure, you would be limited in the Architecture, on the outside, and maybe the hight of your floor (although they could be made very tall, enough for lofts, etc…) but that can be very exciting for other people. (I’d get one!)

So, er… what do ya think?

Love Ingie

You've kinda-sorta described the sims Boardman and Kissling. Boardman is planned-suburban, Kissling is modern-day urban.
