Nah. That just wouldn't work. I'd murder half the fuckers while they slept. Think of it as a more permanent solution to 'ignore'.

As I read this I couldn't help but actually hear the freaky music from the 1960 movie Psycho that played when Anthony Perkins approached the shower with a knife and stabs Janet Leigh multiple times. :eek: :p

Wow. I just realized all the times I saw this topic yesterday I didn't even realize the read inside was spelt wrong. I just happened to see it again this morning and realized "hey, that isn't spelt right".

Hmmm... maybe all my ex's are right and me not observant.

I've always wanted to study this issue for non-alphabetic writing systems, particularly the Asian ones. For example, in Chinese, what element of a character "needs" to be in the right place/orientation for it to remain intelligible? In Japanese, would 'taraka' be understood as 'takara' (treasure)?

Then there's the whole relation to word-parsing and dyslexia.

But I'm a language geek, I wonder about these sorts of things alot :cool:

There was a lot of talk abot this on slashdot. Basically the sample text is pretty easy to decipher, but if you really jumble the letters it becomes a lot harder. That is a cleverly created sample text.

For instance:

Cmabrigde is okay this way but is much harder as Cidmbarge. He almost spells out bridge for you as brigde.

It's all in how you present the information.
