Please help editing digital audio on MPEG!!

Please help! I have an 13mb MPEG video from my Sony Cyber Shot cam. I need to know what the voices are saying..there is too much white noise & I need someone who knows how to edit & clean it up. Its urgent! I will pay!! Thank you so much, kissssssssss

The only way for you to get that message was to try and download the file. You need to be very careful about how you post in the forums. You used the word "spy" without knowing anything about what was going on. What I see here is an audio restoration request. And guess what Darwin? I happen to do audio restoration for a hobby. And guess what else? I happen to be REAL GOOD at it

If you must know even more of the details, then email me or meet me in world or I will call you & I will tell you so not to bore everyone else. But yay!- I have found someone who has fixed it for me who works for a Digital Mastering company & now he has shown to be capable of accomplishing this task so he has accepted this project doing so for lots of money. There was a death in the family & these were the last words to be heard of the deceased. Purely sentimental value. This shot actually was an accident that was just discovered-when they carried cam off yacht they did not shut off recording. They put lense cap on & put it in bag. These cams have sensitive mics & you hear more of the 'white noise' than anything when you are outside. So I was trying myself to see if I could do it with Cool Edit or something. But I am clueless at digital audio editing, so I thought I would help find someone else since this project paid so well & meant alot to the family. I asked a Linden if they knew anyone and they said to post it to the forum, which I did. The only good thing about this is that I did find someone who could do it which benefits us all. I will think twice about posting to this forum ever again. I have posted to many forums online to try to find someone. I have got many emails from those with positive support & ppl wanting to help who did not even ask for details- so thank you to them. I really did not want to share all this info- I thought ppl would read the title- see if it pertained to their expertise & let me know if they could do it or not. If someone had questions that would be considered "dissing" as you say- why wouldn't they just email me or see me inworld? Do people just cruise the forums to see how they can be helpful... or hindering? Sorry- I am just 'confused' myself, maybe this is what forums are all about & I am not a professional forum participant. Yes I was there with 3 other people, but the rest of their family was not. I can tell them what was said, but hearing the voice was more important to them.

As for the forums, I could write a book on the internet and the people who use it but it would be wasting time and energy going into all the detail that would be useless for the most part. People are people on here just as they are in the real world outside of the net.

We have some brutal people here Prissielou. After they read your post about it being the last time you heard from someone before they died maybe something here will sink in.

I hope Darwin now understands how hurtful it can sound even if you mean well. If these were my forums to moderate all of this garbage would STOP or a whole lot of people would lose posting rights until they wise up.

Think about the feelings behind someone before you go bashing them to pieces! Act civil for once!

There was NO reference to it being her voice until it was later edited to clear that up. THAT is where Darwin was coming from. To me it looked like that too but I wanted to know more before I went and asked the same thing. Wording can make or break a person. Prissie was only trying to seek help. Considering the now known content its understandable it could cause a person to not think completely on how they presented the original request. Thus the misunderstanding until she edited the post and added that it was her voice on that.

Please, let's all get along here.

Prissie I hope this does not sour you away from the message boards. Its a simple misunderstanding due to the emotional content at the time. I too would have worded myself wrong consider how close the content is to that. I apologize for any hurt feelings you may have from this. I hope this has cleared it up and stopped everyone from flamming each other over it.

Maybe I did not word it 'correctly' but there may have been a reason for this. I did not want to 'use' the reason as an excuse to get someone to do this for me. I just wanted professional help editing some audio. Someone unbiased that would be paid for their time & service for an accurate reading. What if there was no reason & I just stuck my cam in my neighbors bedroom? If you don't like it..then don't help me. Judgement is mine sayeth the Lord. If your name is Lord..go ahead I guess. I would hope next time if someone does not want to help or answer the request of the post, then just move on to the next one...

One of the reasons we use the internet is anonymity. At least I do. To use it as a tool to make rl less complicated. I could have just gone down to the local radio station or digital mastering studio in town where everyone knows everyone else & wants to know their business..but I did not..for good reason.

I might continue with forum posting someday..right now I will just read through posts & get used to the whole thing...I prob should have done that first.
