I just read Catherine's post about Co-op Advertising and it sounds like a great idea. $50 for a 2 week run, and you get any referrals that are generated from the ad.

The only downside: 'summer' theme, which sorta limits the type of product you could advertise.

Thoughts?

Well, it's not like you'd be advertising igloos in the summertime... unless -- oh wait, hey, that might have a cheeky sense of irony about it... KEEP IT COOL IN SECOND LIFE... LOL... I can think of lots of ways to relate though, depending on how the ad is constructed.

You could even do something with goths at the beach, or a dumptruck that can finally go to the landfill because the seagulls are all fishing (well, summer -- sounds like Neo-Realms Fishing Camp could advertise!), or... or... !

I don't have a product to advertise though. *sigh*

I plan to send her um my ad for summer-time beachfront rentals in Alston where it is always eternally summer and the people are always eternally fishing and where you can rent gorgeous houses including this kickass house by you-know-who that even has the sex-ball tinting thingie now.

I'm going to test whether she accepts rentals as an "object for sale". Chances are, she won't, and the scripterati/vehicularati/designerati/architecterati will be favoured once again! Can't hurt to try tho!

sale: an agreement (or contract) in which property is transferred from the seller (vendor) to the buyer (vendee) for a fixed price in money

rent: compensation paid for the temporary use, and/or occupation of real estate
