There's something very SLish about this music video, which is truely exceptional and a fave of mine.

Watch it and see what you think+feel it is. :)

(Windows Media Video, requires broadband hehehe.)

Funny...I was watching this video yesterday thinking the same.

In my ongoing attempt to blackout the forums with my name and not my alts', I might as well comment that this video ROCKS.

Its a really nice video, but it reminds me more of the Sims than SL. Lots of isometric views, and the routine rituals of everyday life.

It didn't really remind me of SL that much, but that song is really cool! And the video is really neat too.

(Number of times word "really" used: 3)

It's How Stuff Works: the music video. :)

Thanks, Torley. Royksopp is great and it is nice to see Popular Science illustrators can still find work. Even more than SL or The Sims that made me think of Habbo Hotel 2.

Great beat, but I had the volume low so I couldn't hear the lyrics well at all.

The video, however, had a very depressing, dystopic vibe to me. In the age of high technology, we're constantly being inundated with statistics and diagrams and explanations, all actually devoid of any real meaning. Worse, the video depicts the standard person as being but a mote in the middle of a statistical agglomeration. We are just a colored arrow on the diagram of life.

In short, the video makes me wish I were Amish. :p

I'll have to check out some of their other work.

Thanks for the tip Torley. :) It reminds me of my daily life as a CAD monkey more than SL, but it's cool.

Aristotle would piss his robes if he could see this. :D

I got that fight club vibe from it too, it reminded me of when Jack walks through the living room but also the emergency books on the plane. "Calm as Hindu cows."

When the video began playing, I thought the song was "Breath of Life" by Erasure.
I do like the song and the animation style of the video.
Cool pick, Torley.

Happy you guys enjoyed it... I too agree on a graphical level, isometrically, it's more like TSO or Habbo Hotel. On some quirky, metaspiritual level tho—I felt a real vibe in this video pushing outwards. Promises of future things to come and how everything is so utterly connected. Kinda like, if this video went from 2D to "true" 3D virtual worldspace like SL is, now what would that be like? ;)
