Im interested to know if you shop at hubs and if not, how far you are prepared to fly to get to a store.

Good idea to try to get this information in an anonymous poll quickly that Walker couldn't get people to yield up through journalist work. It's a start. It needs to be done!

If I'm bored and just looking for something to do, I'll browse any mall or store I come across that interests me, whether it's by a hub or not. If I'm looking for something inparticular, I'll go to as many places as I can find (no matter how far from a hub they are) in the Find Places menu until I find what I'm looking for.

If I want to visit a store, I will fly however far it is.. and have. It can be annoying when hitting those darn void areas and having to fly around or TP to another location and try again.. but.. I am willing to do it to get to a store I want to shop at.
On the other hand, I never go to the hub stores. I hate hate hate the hub clutter and fly away from it as quickly as possible.

There are stores around hubs?  Ok, getting away from being silly for a moment, I can not stand cluttermalls - and really, that's all that's around any hub I've been to lately. Even well managed telehub malls are a mishmash of crap, each trying harder to be more obvious than the next, resulting in a visual white noise that's easier to ignore than sort through. Telehub malls have become the cashier's endcaps of SL - the shelves full of bagatelle that you might buy entirely on impulse placed conveniantly in your reach so nothing will interfere should that impulse strike. Beyond that, every store I've ever found worth visiting has always been well away from a hub. The attraction is quality - Since avatars don't get tired and they can fly, it's (usually) minimal effort to travel to a place that sells the little toys we want to play with. |

i manage to rez enough at the hubs before up,up and away time to see the stores but not the wares...
