Today / Last night was tax night for me. I own more land than I need to jsut to keep a nice buffer around my Arcade. But I thought I could afford it because as of 11:30pm PST or so last night when I logged off my Account History told me my taxes matched my stipend + bonus, exactly. I figured this just meant I was actually entitled to more stipend bonus but had too much money. Fine and cool.

So last night my numbers were (I believe)
Total Bonus + Stipend: ~ 3530 and taxes exactly matched it.

Today I log in to my tax report showing this:
Total Stipend 3538
Total Tax 4935

Excuse me?? My taxes had matched my stipend for the entire last week. I check my account history multiple times a day. Then when taxes come, suddenly my taxes jump by $1397 which is 28%.

This isn't right. This does not work. I can not plan for the future if my account sheet can't predict half an hour before server close the night in advance with greater accuracy than 28%.

My guess is taxes get updated once per week, while $$ and bonuses get updated more or less as they happen. I think this because it is my taxes that jumped, not my projected stipend. And when I buy land or rez an object, my taxes stay the same even after my balance changes and the rest of the numbers change to reflect the balance change.

Please fix this.

yes! planning for the future is impossible. If the stipends dropped again Im going to be hurting. Im afraid to come home tomorrow and see how much I lost this week. Last week my bonus went down by a third, looks like by Amas estimates that happened again. I thought the bonus pool was supposed to increase with the # of residents?? Whats happening??

Actually my rjected bonus was almost dead on. My projected taxes were another matter entirely.

Projected taxes and stipends are recalculated daily - which means that if you build/buy alot during a day your projected tax can get way off. Re-computing your projected tax in real-time is... difficult, so this isn't something we an just "fix". I'm sorry that you got caught by this.

If taxes are calculated on a daily basis then all account history should be estimated on a daily basis. A lot of the calculations go together and calculating some in almost real time and some once a day will give really weird results. Especially for anyone hovering around the $3500 mark.

It needs to be more clear which items are calculated / estimated on a daily basis and which items in real time. The way the sheet is now I can not guess. I would actually be perfectly happy if the account history always showed a snapshot of 12:01am (or something). Because then it would be consistant and definatly more understandable.
