is there anyway to find objects that you created in the world, and let the public move???
i did this several nights ago with a mobile lab, and left it with the ability for others to move it around, and now i lost it.
being that i had to pay for it to be out in the world (and i am short on cash) is there a tracking service or something so i can find and delete it??

Hahaha.. I thought you were joking about that!!! For those who missed it, OneArmed, who owns that mosque in Jessie, is decked out in mideastern-looking garb. Last night he was running all around asking if anyone has seen his WMDs (the mobile lab), and joking that he needs the help of UN to find it..

if it is bigger than 1m, which i assume it is. it will show up as a light blue dot on your world map. As to the script that can find your objects for you... it isn't working yet, I have to make some serious changes because of the 16 object limit on the sensor event. even after i make the changes, I am not sure if it will be able to do a complete search of the sim. so the moral is... build everything larger than 1m, and then hunt and peck for light blue dots

there's gotta be another way to find an item. I lost my vehicle too. it just disappered into thin' air and I didn't get my money back so it's somewhere in the noman twilight land. I too found a few projactiles of mine by searchin' for blue marks on my radar. however, I wish there was an esier way of doin' this. like search objects by their name? then have 'em selected with a beem thin' to fly/tlelport to. just a thought.

you can write a script that does a sensor sweep, checking each object found to see if it is an object you own. The problem is that the sensor call can only sense 16 objects, and when a sim can hold 100,000 objects... well you see the problem. maybe the dataserver event will eventually be able to check and see how many objects we each own on a sim, but until then you juat have to hunt and peck.

i've had problems with lost items to, and i was thinking if they added a "outside inventory" that was just like you inventory but was a list of all your items out in the world, you could righ click and claim, or delete them, depending on what you want

Your lab is probably gone

Well not sure if anyone knows this and really it doesen't help you any unless you're just sick of looking at the same item day after day and it never decays. If you see an item that can be moved it is easy to place the item on Public Land, then claim that land, after you've claimed that land you can delete the item, then relaase the land again and get your money back. I do this alot of the time when I see an item day after day and for some reason even if it's on Public land never enters the stage of decay. I just hate people that leave stuff on either other peoples land or on Public land. It's no different than throwing trash on the ground IRL. Same thing goes for people that buy a 4x4 plot of land and they are surrounded by someone elses land. How are you gonna expand that way? Well once the game enters launch the people that stay will beome rich as after the 2 weeks of having to register yourself with the game there is always a buncha people that never stay. Most of the people here probably are Beta Testers and never intend on playing any online game. That's great too, cause that's more decays for me to delete and make money off of.

I would also like to see something that find missing objects. .. I typed in a coordiante for my item the other day and it disappeared ... must have been a typo (of course) but now it's out there decaying to public and I have no idea where to start ... flying around looking for blue dots is all well and good if you have an idea of where to start ... but this could take me forever!!

Good idea dark, I was thinking the same thing. or at least a folder in your inventory for manifested items.. kinda like the ones attached to your avatar and how they say (WORN). This could be implimented in very much the same way.
