It's been a while since the intitial slashing of ratings to those acquired only in the preceding 6 months. My ratings were cut by hundreds, and then nothing more has dropped off.
Is anyone losing ratings still because of the 6 month rule? If the new plan has been abandoned then our slashed ratings should be reinstated..shouldn't they?

i think i lost some, but i dont really care for ratings, they dont show your true self.. nothing but numbas.. LOL

yeah, i don't really know why we having ratings anyway, the only thing i see when looking at them is a quick way to tell how old the person is in terms of SL, but it doesn't make the person any cooler, nor do i care about them having neg ratings. *puts on "beat me, whip me, give me a neg-rating" t-shirt*

It's a rolling 6 month cut off. Once ratings are 6 months old, they'll vanish. So if you got 10 ratings 6 months and 1 day ago, they'll disappear today.

Mine have dropped alot. But might be cause alot were over a year old. Recently they have dropped a few. I wish there was some rates that never changed like some extra's that dont have anything to do with stipend that only show character. Like building rates, alot of poeple I know are great builders and had excellent building rates now they almost vanished.

yeah but what if they're not, what if they are just outspoken and feel an obligation to use the neg-rate option as a way to vote yes or no on things, it's not fair as one neg-rate equals another but we can't tell if they are just from spite or for a reason. What if people ganged up on you for offering what you thought was constructive criticsm and you got a bunch of neg rates, people would think you werent worth talking to but you are!! *shows Prok Rox! tattoo on breast* Nope, sorry. If you've given out 50+ neg rates in a 6 month period, you're a tight ass. _____________________

The whole thing is pointless to me now i lost almost all my ratings as they were gained when I first started creating new japanese content in SL and now I look like Ijoined recently and havent even learnt to build according to my ratings, compared to before. As a builder landscaper if ratings ever got me work, they sure wont now, and since they made the cut i dont think ive been rated once, now it costs $25. I have still rated others though just to let them know i love their work.
I think its pointless now when they just effective crippled anyone with long term history. My ratings were for serious work, building not just 'appearance' and were not created by strings of friends and alts or 'rating parties' yet the ratings i gained from work were just deleted. So now I take no notice of the whole rate thing. I would rather someone give $25 to my Money Tree and benefit some new person than waste it on a rating which wont even stay with me very long. About time they just abolished the whole silly idea now. |

I have absolutely no idea how many neg-pos rates I have.
Honestly - I hardly check them, let alone pay attention to them. When I get a pos I usually think 'awww ain't that sweet' When I get a neg I just giggle. Siggy. _____________________
