Daily, i mean. I got the game yesterday, about two hours before i started sleeping, and have been playing for around 12 hours today. I have to say this game is impressive, and deeply exciting for creative people such as myself. So, how often and how long do you all play?

Welcome to SL!! Yeah, it is quite the experience. :)

I average about 5 hours most week nights, weekends closer to 10 hours most weekends. Less now that summer is coming. :)

Welcome to SL Weesneak and glad you are enjoying it so much.

I'm retired in RL and have SL on pretty much all day, even whilst I am in PSP making my latest plant texture.

Hope you continue to enjoy it.

I get up at 4, so as to get 3 hours before breakfast. Then usually another hour before work.

Two more hours after work, and sometimes a further hour in the evening.

That makes 6 or sometimes 7 a day.

Oh dear, that does sound a lot! *sigh*

Welcome to SL, WeeSneak :) It was only a few weeks ago that folks were saying that to me! I have to say the denizens of this board are among the most helpful crowd I've ever encountered in 10+ years of online gaming. What a great group.

Time? Is that the thing that keeps going "tick tick" on my wall? I'm just coming off a 4-day weekend, starting Friday, and if not for an understanding husband who lured me out of the house for good food and wine a couple of times, I would have been in SL 24/7. I'd start the day with one goal in mind and 5 hours later, I'd look up at the clock and wonder why I hadn't eaten yet :)

Most days, though, I might spend 2-4 hours in world. Weekends a little more. For a game with no goal, I'm sure finding plenty of things to do. Last night my friends and I spent an hour playing around with new scripted sunglasses we'd bought, changing colors of the lenses and frames :) If I tell my offline friends, they think I'm weird!

Ok, maybe I am. But then maybe I've found my virtual home.

That's because she is! :P

Lessee. Ideally, I'd play 2-3 hours every other night. This would let me alternate between RL and whatever online game holds my favours.

Something hard to hold onto with most games but impossible for me in SL.

I stopped playing this morning at 5am (started around 11pm, I think) when the DJ collapsed of exhaustion on the dance floor. :) At 7:30am, I got up to go to work. *cries*

The problem with games without a defined goal is that there is always one more thing you fancy trying, one more piece of clothing to buy, one more prim to create or one more song request to dance to. And that's bad for scheduled playtime!

On paper, it sounds dreadfully dreary. Most of us long-time gamers have been indoctrinated into the "do-quest/get-xp" routine where the game itself determines our goals.

I like the idea that I'm responsible for making my own fun, and if I'm bored it's my own fault. There's still so much for me to learn how to do, so many places to see, and after all this time I STILL have not taken time to learn how to play Tringo!! /sobs

I will, though. No rush. First I need to shop for just the right outfit that subtly says "She plays Tringo" :)

Sometimes I'm in the "12+ hours a day" club too! But I vary things up, sometimes I just sit in offline nature and then contrast+compare that experience with what I find in SL. I live in a forest so it's all very good. :)

I still think there should be a counter telling you exactly how many minutes, hours, days, and months you've actually spend logged into SL.

YES! I was just thinking this, lol. On WoW there's a /played command that tells you how long you've played the game with that character.
