UV Maps , pls :)

hey guys, still 2 hrs till play time (bored) hehe. i was wondring if someone could be kind nuff to send some uv maps to me

uv maps?

UV means texture coordinates... and textures are "mapped" onto 3D objects... so I'm guessing he is talking about textures that demonstrate how the UV coordinates are mapped onto avatars.

Am I right?

There are a few old cannonical texutures floating around. Some of the older users might have them, however there may be a few floating around from a _long_ time ago when the avatars were different.

There are some new example textures that are about to be released if they haven't yet. They will be one of the default textures that all newbies will find in their inventory.

So, if they aren't out now, they will soon. And in the meantime, perhaps some of the other users have a usable copy of the avatar UV maps?

It'd be great to find if and when they will be released. The old maps can be found in the avatar bundle, available at the free bazaar. I have them inworld and on my HD. They (as noted) are not accurate so you have to fudge. It takes time & practice to figure out where.

There is apparently a newbie pack some people are working on... that may also be a good place for them in case ppl delete them in error and/or so older players have access to them.

Ok, for anyone who doesn't remember to save them out of the avatar bundle onto their own system (or doesn't have the avatar bundle in the game) -- http://66.137.11.217/canon.zip -- this is the *old* set that must be "fudged" with, unfortunately.
