I can't open the Second Life install file, it says that my computer does not know what program to open the file with... what do i do?

Did you rename it or are you on a mac/linux comp?

What file type is it saving as when you download it to your computer?
It should be a ".exe" , 11.5 Mb (Second Life 1-0-5 Setup.exe) If you have the correct file, then it may be your operating system, so would need to know what system you are running. _____________________

It's likely that the file extension was corrupted during download. This is easily fixed by renaming the file (right-click the file and select "Rename"
 to "Second Life 1-0-5 Setup.exe". After renaming it should install normally. |

Many new users are having this issue. Rename the file and add a .exe to the end. If that doesn't work, redownload from www.secondlife.com/download
