I think the skepticism of the Unionists is understandable. But I have great hopes that this will be a substantive step in reducing political violence in Northern Ireland.
Just don't make a midden of it, me boyos. _____________________

He said: "People are so sceptical, having been burnt so many times before. I'm sure the Catholics and poor of Northern Irish know how this feels. Repress people for a few hundred years, these feelings tend to arise. I applaud Sinn Fein for taking the chance at peace, but I hope they keep their rifles in a safe place. They may need them again. -Ghoti _____________________

Well Ghoti it wasn't your town they bombed, or your brother, sister, child, parents who died or were maimed. Catholics and Protestants alike were slaughtered in the IRA terrorist acts.
There is no excuse for indistriminate slaughter. Alexa _____________________

Alexa, how do you *know* this about Ghoti? Do you know Ghoti personally? How can you make such a claim otherwise? _____________________

There is no excuse for indistriminate slaughter. Yah, agreed. I am not making excuses for the slaughter of innocents. There's nothing good about violence. I'm just saying given the history of Northern Ireland, the Unionist quoted in that article is one to talk about being burnt. -Ghoti Ps. And just to reiterate, the ceasing of hostilities is awesome!! _____________________
