I'd say the man was definately onto something. His "patients" miraculous and well documented recoveries speak volumes alone.
He also said many times that Egypt was once a fertile wet oasis and only in the last 10 years have they realized that the sphinx predates the egyptian civilization by a few thousand years and is in fact water eroded and not sand eroded.
Add to all of that his prediction that a chamber would be found beneath the paws of the sphinx and in it he said would be found the true history of mankind. The dicovery of a chamber measuring the exact dimensions Cayce predicted was indeed found using seismography but thus far has not been excavated, perhaps the next curator of the plateau after Zahi Hawass will act differently on that matter.
One must consider the impact it could have if documents and perhaps even evidence showed anything contrary to popular religious beliefs though. It could start another Crusades like slaughter by the "righteous".
There is simply too much documentation on many of his cases to simply rule him out as a charlatan.
