OK, preparing for laughs and all sorts of dumb comments so here goes nothing. I have a bug avatar at the moment and want to make the rear of it appear to glow. SOOOO, how do I make my butt glow .... =0)

Make the rear end a Light object, and when you move, it should light up. The bigger the butt, the brighter the light.

As James already suggested, make that object out of Light -- also might look at putting an animated (smooth) texture on it -- say 4 different shades of green (or yellow or red or whatever color the butt is supposed to be) -- that might look really cool on there.
