How do you sell Lindens on GOM?
I am not sure how the actual process works, can anyone help?

After you create an account and get your account linked to SL (there are instructions on the website). Scroll down the list of buy offers until you get to the one for .99cents (that ones mine). Click that and I'll buy 'em automagically

You can buy and sell L$ though me directly, inworld.

Sensual... Here's a quick "guide" to selling your L$ on GOM. I'm assuming you have a Paypal account already in place.

Go to GOM and select the Free Registration link. From there, you'll be asked name and address info. Answer with your r/l info.

Once you have an account, you need to tie it to your AV in-world. You do this by following the "Deposit Game Currency to GOM" link.

Once GOM knows who you are in real life and who your AV, its all a piece of cake...

1) Go to one of the many GOM ATM's in-world, and pay the machine however many L$ you're looking to sell.

2) Go back to the GOM site, and you'll now see that your account has so many L$ in it.

There are two different ways to sell

3a) Click a "Sell" link on somebody's offer
3b) Offer to sell your L$ at whatever price you want

Option 3a gets you your US$ right away. Option 3b requires that you wait until someone comes along to "Buy" your L$, but you'll get a better price that way. In either case, GOM just switches your L$ for the buyer's US$, and they take their US$0.03 commission for every L$250 you're selling.

Once you've sold your L$, you can "Withdraw Cash", and GOM will have the US$ in your Paypal account, usually within 24 hours.

There are a couple ways to sell L$ on GOM. Depending on your patience and what you feel is a fair price. I watch the market to see if it's rising or falling ot help assist in this decision.

You can place a Sell Order which is typically higher then the Buy orders posted by a slim margin. Part of this is due to paying afee to GOM for the transaction. You set this amount per block at your own discretion and for what value you think is sellable. Players looking for a quick fill to purchase L$ can use this area to buy immediately nad i have had no problems selling in this manner. It does take a bit of patience.

You can immediately sell your L$ for the amounts posted in the Buy Order column. These are orders that already have been verified for funds, and are speculations to what people think they can purchase for. Of course you wish to sell for as much as possible, and a sell order is going to earn you a bit more per block, but if your needs are immediate you can fill any of the buy orders and pull your US immediately (pending the PayPal transaction time period).

Hope this helps clarify. You will need an account and to link an avatar I believe, to start the process and use one of the in-world ATM's to deposit your L$ balance inot your GOM account.

It's a really bad idea to sell your money now. The L$ is collapsing. If I were you I would stock up on as many L$ as you can afford while they are cheap. They are bound to take a quantum leap the next time Philip appears on TV or something, since there will be an ensuing flood of noobs looking for money to buy.

I have always used IGE in the past, thier process seems so much easier... The buy rates I see on GOM are not something I am willing to part with I don't think... so I will take Eggy's advice and wait a bit, thanks everyone for your help.

You're right... IGE's process always was easier. And they've been paying a pretty nice price for quite a while.

What I would suggest that you do, since you can't sell on IGE right now is to park some of your L$ with sell orders at a price you do think you'd like to get. The market goes up and the market goes down. And if it goes up to your price, your L$ will sell.

If you look at GOM, there are 100's of thousands of L$ sitting with Sell orders attached, just waiting for the price to come up.
